Annie Booth Trio feat. Max Wellman

Max Wellman - vocals

Annie Booth - piano

Patrick McDevitt - bass

Alejandro Castaño - drums

The Annie Booth Trio, led by award-winning pianist-composer Annie Booth, is based in Denver, Colorado and has been performing together for nearly a decade. Featuring Patrick McDevitt on bass and Alejandro Castaño on drums, the group centers their performances on a diverse book of Booth's compelling original compositions and arrangements. The trio is thrilled to collaborate with nationally-renowned vocalist Max Wellman both at this live appearance at Dazzle and on a forthcoming album release, due later in 2018. Aside from their level of musicianship, one of the most prominent aspects of a performance by the Annie Booth Trio is the group's palpable enthusiasm and energy; it is this energy about which audiences most frequently remark and it is this special connection with the audience that most fuels the trio's passion for sharing their art.

Annie Booth has released three acclaimed albums under her name: her debut, Wanderlust (2014, Dazzle Recordings), Festive! (2016) and Abundance: Live (2017). Annie is a recipient of the ASCAP Young Jazz Composer's Award (2011 and 2017), the 2017 ASCAP Phoebe Jacobs Prize, as has been named "Best in Denver" in the jazz genre by Westword Magazine in 2015, 2016, and 2017. All three members of the AnnieBooth Trio were featured as part of Jazz 89.3 KUVO's "30-under-30" highlight in 2015.
